On September 12, 2011, LCF is co-sponsoring and hosting an event with Veritas entitled, “True For You But Not For Me: Is Christian Truth Culturally Relative?” by Paul Lim, Associate Professor of the History of Christianity and Religious Studies at Vanderbilt University.

He will be speaking at 07:30 PM in Johnson 204.

If you are looking for a church, please join us at Life Baptist Church in Pasadena this Sunday at 11am for our special Thanksgiving service. The service will be followed by a delicious Thanksgiving lunch with turkey and all the trimmings. Please come hungry!

Also, for those who will be around on Thanksgiving day (11/25), you are invited to Ray’s house at 3pm to hang out and have an early Thanksgiving dinner. If you are a talented chef (or not), you are welcome to bring food over for all to share. If you are interested in coming for the Thanksgiving day dinner, please email info@life-cf.org.

Please join us for our Annual Retreat on Oct 8-10

We will be joining LCF members from UCLA, USC and Oxy along with members from Life Baptist Church of Pasadena on Oct 8-10 at the Oaks Center in Lake Hughes for our annual retreat.

The retreat speakers are Pastor Don Overstreet and his son, Pastor Kirk.

Pastor Don is a church planter and strategist who has been humbly serving the Lord for over four decades. You can read more about Pastor Don here.

And Pastor Kirk is part of the Set Free Ministry whose mission is to reach the poor and those suffering from drug and alcohol abuse in the Inland Empire. Currently, Pastor Kirk has been involved in relief efforts in Haiti.

It will be a powerful father-son duo!
